About

I’m a lecturer at the School of Intelligent Imagery Engineering, Beijing Film Academy, and a PhD student working on AI in film production. I serve as a member and secretary of the Advanced Imaging Committee of the China Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Peking University and my graduate studies at Beijing Film Academy. In 2025, I was a visiting scholar at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. My research spans virtual production and AI-assisted filmmaking, next-generation cinemas and immersive media, and imaging color science.

I teach Introduction to Film and Television Technology, Color Science and Applications, and Virtual Reality Technology. I’ve contributed to research projects and industry standards, worked as a virtual production assistant on A Writer’s Odyssey, and supported the Beijing International Film Festival’s Boundless ∞ Immersive Section in 2025 and 2026.

Beyond work, I’m a film buff, music lover, and a cappella enthusiast. I went to 112 cinema screenings during my year in the US; nothing quite beats the big-screen experience. I’m an ISFJ who cares about clear writing, doing things well, and living a full life.

My blog brings together reflections and translations of academic articles and video essays. I also share everyday tools as open source through the Online Tool Library and Agent Skills Library. I’d love to hear your thoughts on films, research, or the tools. Feel free to leave a comment or email me.

Do good, and let the rest take care of itself.
